US remodeler confidence in the fourth quarter remained at 57 on the National Association of Home Builders Remodeling Market Index (RMI). This reading is the highest since the first quarter of 2004. The index gauging future market indicators rose 2 points to 58 with three of the four major components of the future index increasing. However, the current market conditions component lost 2 points to 56.
Derived from a monthly NAHB survey, the RMI gauges remodeler perceptions of current demand for services and expectations for future projects. See NAHB
